June’s theme is all about finding joy and appreciation in the little things. Over the past year and a half, we’ve been forced to reckon with massive scale community, society, and global challenges. The bombardment of stressful news/dynamics can be overwhelming. Let’s simplify and create an attitude of gratitude. Let’s turn inward and find joy. 

Research has shown that experiencing positive emotions in a 3-to-1 ratio with negative ones leads to ingrained habits in which we naturally become more resilient to adversity. Remember, your brain is a muscle just like any other. Let’s train our brains to find more joy.
