Mindful March: Actions to Help You Respond More Mindfully
Mindful March: Actions to Help You Respond More Mindfully
Hello APTS,
Action for Happiness has released their March calendar, and this month focuses on mindfulness.

In our modern society multi-tasking and multi-sensory processing at quantum speeds bombards us. However, our nervous systems have not evolved yet to a place where we can do that without consequence. Mindfulness is making a “trendy” loop around in the psychological community, but it’s one of the most ancient, globally practiced, [now] evidenced-based, and easy philosophies to employ.
Mindfulness doesn’t have to be complicated, obscure or done with a professional. It’s simply a way of living. A state of being. Good news: mindfulness is a quality that YOU already possess, it’s not something you have to conjure up. You just have to learn how to access it. Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, focusing our attention on one sensation at a time.
This March, let’s recommit to “the basics” for psychological health and practice mindfulness.
Regards,
